James Mitchell from famous “All My Children” died in a Los Angeles Hospital on Friday. Albert Wolsky, his partner told that James Mitchell, the long runner actor of All My Children died at the age of 89 in Los Angeles.
James Mitchell was suffering from heart disease and cancer for last many years and finally he gave up on Friday in a hospital of Los Angeles. James Mitchell was managing his health but recently he had attached by pneumonia and he never recovered.
Mitchell started the show in 179 and he played and appeared in more than 200 episodes of All My Children. He quite from the show in 2008 but recently appeared again in the show All My Children last month for the celebrations of 40th anniversary of All My Children and it was his last appearance on the show as he died on Friday.
Wolsky told about his partner that he really enjoyed his long tenure on the show All My Children.
James Mitchell was born in 1920 and he was a great actor as well as a dancer. He had his degree from Los Angeles City College in theater and before starting his career with All My Children, he played several leading roles in the films like Paint Your Wagon, Billion Dollar Baby, Carousel and Brigadoon.
James Mitchell also had a career as a teacher along with acting and dancing, he had taught movement and dance at Drake University in Iowa and Yale University.
James Mitchell had a brief dancing career in the musicals movies; he appeared in Cyd Charisse in Deep in My Heart and Band Wagon along with Fred Astaire.
