Alberto Gonzales
They call him "torture boy" and with good reason.
He, more than anyone else, fought to make torture a part of U.S. policy.He failed, and had to resign as Attorney General. He has been unable to find a job.
Amazing! At one point, President Bush seemed to want to appoint him to the Supreme Court.
He made other serious mistakes as well. He allowed the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to dupe Haji Bashir Noorzai into coming to the United States. Noorzai thought he would be working with the Americans in Afghanistan. Instead, he was arrested.
Not only does this make Gonzales a liar, but he did grave damage to US-Afghan relations.
To make it even worse, corrupt FBI employees involved in the matter were let off with little more than a slap on the wrist!
