The whole ordeal had Baldwin cancel his Twitter account after his 140 character recap of the episode made him come off like kind of a dick, and he's been getting a barrage of bad press thanks to his handling of the incident.
But in Alec Baldwin fashion, he's looking to get back in the public's good graces by poking fun of the situation on a familiar forum. Baldwin stopped by the Katy Perry-hosted episode of Saturday Night Live last weekend to make light of his airline outburst.
Dressed as a mustachioed American Airlines pilot going by the name Steve Rodgers, Baldwin crashed the Weekend Update news desk to issue an apology to Alec Baldwin. Update correspondent Seth Myers did his best to stay in on the joke, but left Baldwin, err Captain Rodgers, alone to finish out the fake apology. The whole thing was pretty hilarious:
