Spain’s Alejandro Valverde (L) celebrates after crossing the finish line of the second stage of the Tour of Spain, on August 31, 2008 in Granada. Valverde, of the Caisse d’Epargne team, took the overall race lead after winning the second stage, a 176.3 kilometre run from Granada to Jaen.
