Alessandro Petacchi in search of the seventh seal in the GP Costa degli Etruschi, scheduled for Saturday, February 4.
The Lampre-ISD sprinter, who has been in training camp with the team at the Residence of St. Vincent Riva Etruscan, is ready to defy the cold that is gripping Italy to try to re-establish himself in the race where he has already seen success: along with AleJet , the team will include Bono, Buts, Cimolai, Graziano, Hondo, Mori, Righi, Ulysses and Viganò, with Vincino serving as DS.
“And know that my relationship with the GP Etruscan Coast is particularly strong, if for no other reason that I won all editions,” explained Petacchi. “This year the cold is an additional difficulty that has already been amended to the path. I will have available a team of runners suited to support me in view of the muzzle: with most of the guys I have raced in Australia, while Bono, Buts, Mori and Righi will be the debut season, although I’m sure that will immediately give their solid reliable contribution. The most motivated of all, finally, is Ulysses, local hero. It would be nice to be able to center the first win of the season, but at the same time I know I must be very careful not to expose myself too cold to avoid illness that may affect the first part of the year.”
