Aleutian Islands, chain of about 150 small islands, South West Alaska, separating the North Pacific Ocean from the Bering Sea. The archipelago extends about 1930 km (about 1200 mi) west from the Alaska Peninsula toward Kamchatka Peninsula in the Russia.
