Women, Men and Maine By Alex Hammer Let's see if I can articulate this adequately. Here goes. Question: How well can and do women and men get along in regard to a gender gap? How about Republicans and Democrats and a political gap? How Maine Failed By Alex Hammer Maine is still a great state . But we've failed. Let's be honest about that. When I was a kid (I turn 44 this month) I remember a single KMart in my area but the big box retailer phenomenon in Maine was, as far as I could tell, non-existent.
