Alex Meraz was spotted with a huge smile as he was leaving Urth Cafe on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. I got a chance to see Alex in April when he was in the city I lived in for a Comic Con. He looks different than I thought he might.

He recently lost 45 pounds for a new movie he is going to be in, The City of Gardens. He plays a surfer wrongly convicted of smuggling drugs into Peru.I love when actors throw themselves into their work like that.
