Apple and Peppermint Soap
Apple and peppermint combined in soap give it a fresh, clear fragrance. Add some dried peppermint to enhance the aroma and attractiveness of the soap.
You will need:
227g melt and pour glycerine soap base
2 drops green food colouring or soap colourant
1.5ml green apple fragrance oil
1.5ml peppermint essential oil
5ml dried peppermint
Method:
Melt the soap base in a double boiler or bain marie until liquid. Add the green colourant and dried peppermint and stir until evenly distributed. Remove from the heat and add the apple fragrance oil and peppermint essential oil. Pour into soap moulds and place in the freezer for a few hours to harden. Remove from the freezer and pop the soaps out of the moulds. Place on a wire rack to firm up for one to two weeks. Makes two bars.
