23-year-old Atlanta woman, named Alexis Miller, claimed that O'Neal "stalked her, threatened her with bodily harm and made harassing phone calls in which he breathed heavily into the phone before hanging up."
She filed a restraining order against NBA star Shaquille O'Neal, claiming the basketball superstar was stalking her and threatening her with bodily harm.
Miller, who is a hip-hop artist professionally known as Maryjane, also claimed that the Phoenix Suns player threatened to harm her career after she ended a relationship with him last month.
Fulton County Superior Court Judge Richard Hicks has granted Miller’s request Thursday after reviewing all her claims. The judge found her claims legitimate and granted a restraining order against the four time NBA champion, Shaq.
The order states that O'Neal would have to keep away from and not contact Miller. He is prohibited from coming within 200 yards of Miller or her 19-month-old son. O'Neal is not the father of Miller’s child.
Judge Hicks has ordered the two not to contact each other until the issue can be heard in court. Both parties are due to appear before Fulton County Superior Court Judge Karen Woodson on Sept. 4 to determine whether the restrictions should remain.
