In the world of Photoshop, there are no boundaries other than one's imagination. Take this proposal for the Alfa Romeo's 159 successor called Giulia for example; the guys over at CWW Automotive Design based the chop on Chrysler's latest concept car, the mid-size 200C study that was presented at this year's Detroit Show. Pure fantasy? Maybe in what concerns the design, but if Chrysler LLC and the Fiat Group end up joining forces and if the American automaker manages to stand on its feet, the 200C that uses a shortened version of the 300's RWD platform could find its way into production and at ... The first thought that leaped into mind upon seeing the CH26 was something like - "oh, another MINI - Alfa Romeo Mito potpourri baked in China". We could be wrong, but from what we gather, China has nothing to do with the tiny city car that is the work of a French company called Chatenet. Measuring just over 3 meters (3,065mm to be precise), the CH26 is 370mm or about 4-inches longer than the second generation Smart Fortwo. We're not sure if it's a typo or not, but the French company says on its 'Spartan' website that the two-seater micro car is powered by ... Read Full Story

Since the 1930s the Alfa tradition of sporting coup233s has been as strong as that of their incomparable open cars. But the coup233s, while sometimes overlooked, have arguably been even finer cars than open-topped siblings and they have certainly had more than their fair share of success in competition. This new book, by well-known motoring writer Graham Robson, looks at the classic pedigree of Alfa coup233s, from the Giulietta in 1954 to the end of Alfasud Sprint and Alfetta production in the 1980s. Well-illustrated and including comprehensive specification tables and copious information on design, production and performance, this is the only book a fan ... Read Full Story

This 1973 Alfa GTV has had the body, interior, and suspension restored for track use. It required an engine and transmission, as well as minor finishing. Find it here on Craigslist out of Louisville, Colorado for $8800. The body was given new silver paint with shaved sider markers and additional cooling openings in the front valence. It has many of the right mechanical parts including new Koni shocks, 4.56 LSD, rebuilt steering, and Panasport wheels. The Fuel Safe cell in nicely mounted but not yet plumbed. ‘73 has the larger taillights which is a shame, but we’d make the best of it with the ... Read Full Story
Lately, the Friday Hemmings Find of the Day has had something to do with the Six Degrees of Separation topic of the day. To tell the truth, this 1954 Alfa Romeo being offered by the Imperial Palace Auto Collections in Las Vegas is just too pretty to pass up. It does have a Ford link, [...]

There’s nothing like watching professionally edited racing highlights from 80+ years ago. It’s the Pau Grand Prix and Tazio Nuvolari is on pole. Would you ever have guessed that shooting in-car footage was possible way back in 1935? Yet that is just what you can see in the above video, a summary of the 1935 Pau Grand Prix. At a brisk 84 seconds, it is teeming with excellent visuals, including cars speeding past placid swans on a lake. The...

Last time we heard from Alfa Romeo, we wondered what new drugs had found their way to Europe. (Seriously, that genes/jeans campaign from London's Performance PR was terrible.) The latest ad for the Alfa Romeo MiTo comes from Milan's Fabbrica Virali agency, and it's equally bizarre -- but in a totally good way. The spot features Mozart's ..

Few cars on the road - at any price - have the presence of an Alfa Romeo. Unfortunately their performance seldom keeps up with their looks. That's where aftermarket modifiers come in. Last year the Italian automaker contracted British motorsport concern Prodrive to help it out in the performance department. Their answer was the Brera S, removing much of the aggressively-styled coupe's weight and fine-tuning the suspension. Now Autodelta is...
