Dru Sjodin left  her job in a Victoria's Secret store at a Grand Forks, North Dakota mall on November 22, 2003.    She was last heard talking to her boyfriend on his cell phone.  She went missing.  She was 22 years old. An extensive search was conducted for several months, and Sjodin's body was eventually found on Saturday, April 17, 2004.
 
 
The convicted suspect is Alfonso Rodriguez Jr., a 50 year old convicted rapist, who had been recently released from prison after serving a 23 year sentence for attempted kidnapping, rape, and aggravated assault. Rodriguez was arrested in Minnesota and extradited back to North Dakota.  He was sentenced to the death penalty in September 2006.
