Alfre Woodard is booking jobs left and right. After her CBS drama was cancelled last month, the Emmy-winning actress was quickly cast in TNT's upcoming dramedy pilot "Delta Blues" in a co-starring role opposite Jason Lee. This week, Woodard was announced as the latest guest star on HBO's vampire drama "True Blood," according to the Hollywood Reporter. The star will play the mother of Lafayette Reynolds (Nelsan Ellis), the cook at Merlotte's who got busted for selling vampire blood and held captive and tortured by Eric (Alexander Skarsgard). The premiere of American Violet took place at The Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood yesterday. Actress' Alfre Woodard, Nicole Behara, Erica Hubbard, and Karimah Westwood attended the premiere. The movie is about a single African-American mother who struggles to clear her name after being wrongly accused and arrested for dealing drugs in an impoverished town in Texas. American Violet opens in theaters this Friday. Erica Hubbard Karimah Westwood looked adorable. Not to crazy about the stockings but the dress is cute.
