Three-time Indy 500 champion Helio Castroneves slipped into Cobo Center on Thursday for a look at some fine cars at the North American International Auto Show and to do a little promoting of the 2012 Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix, which is scheduled for June 1-3.

"We postponed it for a little bit until next year. Everything is happening so quick. The championship is over, the dancing started, and basically, I was like, ‘Ali, let’s take it easy. Otherwise, we will be divorced before we even get married!” Helio said of his pending marriage with Aliette Vazquez.
"Now it's becoming, 'Let's take it easy. Let's take a break,'" Helio told Entertainment Tonight about Aliette Vazquez. "Because I know after all this rush it would be a little bit too much. I need a little bit more time off."
"I can confirm that Aliette Vazquez and I have called off our engagement and are no longer together," says Castroneves. "At this time I would prefer to keep my private life private."
"Now, I want to dance with someone who knows how to dance," Helio admits.
“There have been a lot of rumors and a lot of misinformation out there,” Aliette Vazquez's rep Howard Bragman said, and she “wanted to set the record straight.”
