Alison Krauss Sure, she’s pretty, but that voice! Ever since I first heard her singing Keith Whitley’s “When You Say Nothing At All”, I fell madly in love with her voice. We chose that song to be our Wedding Song. My wife preferred former Irish boy-band Ronan Keating’s cover from the Notting Hill soundtrack. We tugged back and forth and she ultimately agreed. (thanks, sweetie!) Alison Krauss is a truly gifted artist and an angelic vocalist. -Timmy Posted in Timmy's Take Tagged: Alison, Alison Krauss, Bluegrass, Country Music, Krauss, Notting Hill, Ronan Keating, singers, Union Station, vocalist, When You Say Nothing At All Read Full Story

I got to see Robert Plant and Alison Krauss last night at the Wamu Theatre in Madison Square Garden, NYC. I was so excited to see Robert Plant because I love the music he made with Led Zeppelin. Although this is a more calmed down blues grass style, I found them captivating together. Their vocals were flawless. Robert Plant's voice was very soothing and full of emotion and Alison Krauss's voice resembles a string instrument. She also plays the violin which explains her vocal style. They also covered some Led Zeppelin songs like Blackdog in their own style. Here are Alison Krauss and Robert ... Read Full Story

Today's tradition of pronouncing His completely hellenized name as "Jesus" has indeed obscured His true name, "Yeshua," and has shifted its perceived meaning much like most of His original teachings. As with all things Essene however, there is always the exoteric and the esoteric philosophies and functions. That is, those ideas and teachings suitable to be imparted to the public, and those designed for or understood by the specially initiated alone. Even His name, it would seem, became a part of this understanding. The name Jesus or Jesus Christ is often used in everything from idle conversation, to bumper stickers and jewelry, to enforcing ... I just had an incredible massage at Urban Retreat Spa in Redding. Amazingly good masseuse (Julie). Go there, as soon as you can. She recommends the Urban Rain treatment. I still haven't tried it.... But I will next time. And on the way home, I had a driveway moment sponsored by Jefferson Public Radio (our phabulous local public radio station right here in the State of Jefferson). Yup, got stuck in the driveway for about 10 minutes, with the stereo blasting folksy acoustic music and my neighbors pretending to not think I am a weirdo (they're sort of used to my loud "garage moments" ...
