Nov 9, German Shepherd Police Dog Killed

A German Shepherd dog belonging to the Griffin Police Department (Atlanta Metro area) was found shot to death. It was believed to have been stolen from the police handler’s residence prior to the killing.

A joint reward totaling $6,000 is being offered by the police dog’s handler and the Atlanta Humane Society, for information that leads to the arrest of the killer.

The police officer’s other German Shepherd dog that went missing at the same time, was found in a badly beaten condition. Needless to say, the officer must be devastated by the loss.

Words fail me when I hear of these type of brutal crimes and I can only hope that spreading the word will lead to the person responsible for such an inhumane act.
