The First Lady went on Good Morning America Friday morning to talk about Sasha, Malia and reading to the kids she visited at Fort Bragg Thursday.
Michelle visited Fort Bragg to talk about issues confronting military families, but took the time to read The Cat in the Hat to some of the kids. In footage that ran on Good Morning America (see below and skip to about 1:25 for cute overload), Michelle introduces herself to the children, who already seem to know about the first family.
"I know Sasha!" says one of the girls, before adding "And Malia."
"Yeah. Those are my little girls," Michelle said to the precocious youngster.
The President made his priorities clear recently when he announced he would not be attending the annual Gridiron Dinner, where reporters put on skits and generally try to add some levity to the White House proceedings. Barack's people informed the organizers the president would not be able to attend because his daughters start spring break the day before the dinner and he had already promised them a trip back to Chicago for spring break. It's the first time a first-year president has missed the Gridiron Dinner since Grover Cleveland.
