The big news today in the House of Obama is that the new President signed his stimulus package into law.

The signing comes after a week of bad blood that saw Barack Obama's bipartisan efforts fall apart. Republicans came out overwhelmingly against the $800 billion stimulus plan. One Republican group promised to launch primary campaign battles against any legislator right of the aisle who voted in favor of the package. And to top it off, 27-year-old Illinois Republican Rep. Aaron Schock voted against the package after being wined, dined and even called out at a speech in Peoria, Ill., by the President.

As he signed the bill into law on Tuesday, Obama warned that this might not be the end of economic aid needed from the government.

Far from calling the stimulus package a "mission accomplished," he warned that this was only the first step in a long battle against our economic woes.
Today does not mark the end of our economic troubles. Nor does it constitute all of what we must do to turn our economy around. But it does mark the beginning of the end – the beginning of what we need to do to create jobs for Americans scrambling in the wake of layoffs; to provide relief for families worried they won’t be able to pay next month’s bills; and to set our economy on a firmer foundation, paving the way to long-term growth and prosperity. No one in the White House is as cute as Malia and Sasha Obama, and recently Beanie Babies-maker Ty sought to capitalize on that cuteness.

The company released dolls named Marvelous Malia and Sweet Sasha and claimed they were not based on the first daughters, but everyone else knew otherwise. Well now the company isn't listing the two dolls for sale on its Web site, but eBay users have picked up the slack.

Pairs of the dolls are now going for around $300 each on eBay, where opportunistic sellers are warning that Ty won't be selling anymore of the dolls.
