Alla Kournikova Arrested
Alla Kournikova, mother to Russian tennis star Anna Kournikova, was arrested and jailed Tuesday on charges of child neglect. The former Russian sprinter is accused of leaving her five-year-old son, Allen, alone in her Palm Beach, Florida, home for nearly an hour while she went to the post office and bank.

A neighbor spotted Allen, a half-brother to Anna Kournikova, soaking wet and wandering the yard Tuesday before calling police, according to a Palm Beach police's probable-cause affidavit. Allen told police that he hung from a second story window and dropped onto the ground. He was wet because he said after falling to the stones below the window his feet hurt.
Police were waiting for Alla Kournikova when she arrived back at the home. She told authorities that she had deadbolted the door and left Allen with a cell phone in case there was an emergency. She also said she left him at the house while she ran errands because he didn't want to go. Kournikova was released later in the day on a $3,000 bond.
