Sect leader charged with child sex assault

A Texas grand jury has indicted polygamist sect leader Warren Jeffs on a charge of sexually assaulting a child. The state attorney general says four of Jeffs' followers are charged with sexually assaulting girls under 17. A fifth follower is charged with failure to report child abuse. The charges follow an ill-fated custody case in which more than 400 kids were placed in foster care.
