Allison Adler (Photo Agency)Allison Adler has been rumored to be in a lesbian relationship with Roseanne star Sara Gilbert for ages, but Gilbert only recently confirmed her homosexuality.

According to the New York Daily News, Gilbert addressed the subject in a press conference yesterday, saying that being "out" was a whole new world for her.

She said, "I don't ever really think of things as out or in," Gilbert said. "I just think I am who I am, and when topics come up that are appropriate, I'll talk about them and share when it seems right."

Gilbert's announcement comes just before she launches her new talk show, The Talk, which will touch on subjects like parenting and family life.

She added, "I've been acting my whole life, and I've never really discussed my personal life. This is a talk show. So obviously, I'm going to be discussing my life more."

Gilbert and Adler have been in a relationship since 2002, and they have a five-year-old son Levi and a three-year-old daughter Sawyer together. Adler gave birth to Levi, and Gilbert gave birth to Sawyer.

Alder is a film producer who's worked on shows like Family Guy.
