Positive Female Role Models

Often times I find strong, intelligent, positive female role models lacking in our society. Although a character in the West Wing, I love C.J. Cregg. Allison Janney plays this woman very well. In C.J. Cregg we see a woman who can be a woman but not a "b,"despite the difficlut job she holds. She's also strong, decisive, beautiful, and intelligent. I love how feminine this character can be, yet, not put herself up as a sex-object.

I am thrilled to have a real-life person who I can look up to as a role model. Her name: Michelle Obama. She is intellgent, well-educated, struggles to keep her family balanced, supportive of her husband, strong, . . . any time I've seen her speak or in interviews I've been more than impressed.

Okay, I'm trying to think of more positive women role models, several more are coming to my mind . . . Anne Curry is definitely one. I love watching her on the news and she has done several reports on Darfur.
