The Midlife Dementia Show
Dementia Show members are Andy Clegg, Colin Smith and Andy Whitaker; The Andy’s are former members of the post Chameleons band THE SUN AND THE MOON, other band members being Mark Burgess and John Lever. Andy Whitaker can currently be seen playing his semi regular role of PC MIKE SWIRLING in EMMERDALE under his Equity name of Andy Moore and singing and playing guitar with Andy Clegg in local Venues at the weekend in their duo TWELVE STRINGS.The Andy’s started their entertainment career at the age of 14 presenting, interviewing and editing on Piccadilly Radio’s TRIPE AND ONIONS with Judith Waymont. In the 90s Andy Clegg presented his own radio show in Turkey and then later in South Africa.The “Midlife Dementia” show comprises of silly banter (it’s too far on into the 21st century to use the word Wacky), Silly sketches and brilliant music. It might be described as The Mighty Boosh meets Tony Blackburn in Steve Coogan’s bathroom.
