BUENOS AIRES, Argentina — Argentine police defused a bomb discovered in the ceiling of a Buenos Aires theater Tuesday, and authorities said it was timed to explode during an appearance there by former Colombian President Alvaro Uribe.  

The Gran Rex Theater is located at 800 Corrientes Avenue, downtown Buenos Aires City. An anti bomb squad closed off Corrientes Avenue outside Gran Rex Theatre today after a suspicious package was found at the interior of the theatre’s premises.
