Billy Bob Thornton’s Daughter Gets 20 Years in Prison
Four months after being convicted of aggravated manslaughter of a child, Amanda Brumfield, estranged daughter of Billy Bob Thornton has been sentenced to 20 years behind bars.
Having previously been acquitted of first-degree murder, authorities say the 32-year-old killed her best friend’s one-year-old daughter during an overnight stay in October 2008.
Brumfield claimed that the child, Olivia Madison Garcia, became injured after falling from the playpen she was trying to climb out of.
Prosecutors dismissed the story, stating that it was “impossible” for the girl to incur a three-and-a-half inch fracture as well as bleeding and swelling in her brain from a fall of that height.
