Stargate: The Ark of Truth Blu-ray Review and Stargate: Continuum DVD Giveaway

Fans of the longest running American Sci-Fi series and the only series ever to receive the United States Air Force Seal of Approval, Stargate SG-1, have reason to be excited once again. Stargate: The Ark of Truth, a feature-length conclusion to the "Ori Saga" is available only on Blu-ray and DVD as of January 13th, from MGM Home Entertainment.

The hugely popular and successful Stargate SG-1 also earned four Saturn Awards, two Gemini Awards, nine Leo Awards and eight Emmy nominations during its 10 year run. Stargate: The Ark of Truth picks up after the SG-1 series finale, concluding the Ori story arc from the final two seasons of the series. SG-1 discovers it may be in the Ori's own home galaxy and must travel there only to find themselves in a distant galaxy fighting two powerful enemies.

Written and Directed by Robert C. Cooper, this feature length fim includes many of the fan favorite stars of the series, including: Amanda Tapping (2005 Saturn Award, Best Supporting TV Actress), Golden Globe winner and three-time Emmy Award winning actor Beau Bridges, along with Michael Shanks, Ben Browder, Christopher Judge and Claudia Black.

Loyal fans of the TV series will no doubt appreciate this feature film conclusion to the Ori saga. The Stargate creative team has made use of the feature film conclusion once before with the mid-2008 release of Stargate: Continuum (We have one copy of this DVD available for giveaway below). There is plenty of action, awesome sci-fi features, and state-of-the-art high definition fun thanks to Blu-ray technology.
