I was over looking at one of the largest Amateur Radio websites on the Internet.

And I saw this:

For those that are wondering what is so funny.

Let me explain it.

QRZ.COM is one of the biggest, if not, The Biggest Amateur Radio related website on the internet. and it's supposed to be about Amateur Radio.

The Cobra 200 GTL DX is a "so-called" 10 meter Transceiver. It is also a Radio that's easily modified for the 11 Meter or CB Radio band, It's highly illegal for a CB'er to run one of those. and amongst any true blue Amateur Radio Operator, Those radios are considered "10-4 Good Buddy CB Junk Boxes", and they're being sold on QRZ.COM via Google's Ad-Sense.

I mentioned this because the man who runs QRZ.com is infamous for running people off the website's forums, who don't project the perfect image of what a true Amateur Radio Operator is supposed to be like! Whatever that is.

What this amounts to in the world of Amateur Radio, is blatant hypocrisy. and is further proof that the hobby I got involved with, to get away from the idiotic nonsense that happens on the CB Radio Band, is becoming more like the CB Band by the moment. and this a clear proof of that.

The real cool part is, (sarcastically said, of course)  that the one thing, that kept all the idiots out of Amateur Radio, called Morse Code, Was done away with in the testing for an Amateur Radio license. This means now that all one needs to do, is memorize a bunch of multiple choice questions and he has a shiny new Amateur Radio License without really having to work for it. There's a term that's used quite a bit to describe it. It's called "dumbing down ". Which sounds quite a bit like the world we live in today. Everything's dumbed down to the lowest common denominator. Our political situation is a perfect example of this.

Anyway, I hope Mr. Olbermann doesn't mind me using his voice. He's asleep anyhow. So, I'm sure he wouldn't miss it.

Anyhow, That does it for me. I'm toddling off to bed. See you all, whenever I arise from my slumber.
