Amber Brkich and Rob Mariano Welcome New Baby Girl

(Getty Images)more pics »Reality television alums Amber Brkich and Rob Mariano happily announced the birth of their first daughter, Lucia Rose.

The duo, who have appeared on two seasons apiece of The Amazing Race and Survivor, welcomed the new girl into the world on July 4, 2009 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL, according to People magazine.

Speaking to People, happy father Rob Mariano said:
Lucia is a great eater and sleeps a lot, however she tends to be a bit of a night owl like her daddy at times. She is a perfect baby and we could not have asked for anything more. We are over the moon with happiness at her arrival! The two are perhaps one of the few couple who have reality television for bringing them together (as opposed to breaking them apart). They met on the set of Survivor: All Stars, with Rob proposing to Amber at the end of the season. They also came very, very close to winning the 2007 season of The Amazing Race together, and then starred in a FOX reality show Rob and Amber: Against the Odds.
