American Gladiators is a television series that pits uber strong "gladiators" against normal athletic contenders. The popular series ran from 1989 to 1996, when it went off air. It was revamped and brought back to cable television in 2007 by former pro wrestler Hulk Hogan and female boxer Laila Ali.
GREENVILLE — Riverheads' best volleyball season in more than two decades came to an abrupt end Tuesday night as the Madison County Mountaineers swept the Gladiators in the opening round of the Region B tournament. The Mountaineers won by scores of 25-19, 25-14, 25-17.
