A NIGHT OF RANDOM AUDITIONS FEATURING THE LANE TWINS (FINALLY!): AMERICAN IDOL "SEASON 7; EPISODE 8" RECAP
I'm not quite sure what to make of tonight's episode of AMERICAN IDOL . . . it was a night of previously un-aired random auditions . . . good and bad . . . culled from the previous 7 shows of the current season. I may be wrong, but I don't think I've ever seen the show do this before.
I won't get into any specifics on the contestants we saw tonight, other than to say I was VERY HAPPY to see the producers give some airtime to the HOT twins from Carolina . . . Chris and Cory Lane! While the guys offered further proof that white boys shouldn't rap, they looked hella-good doing so! While it would have been nice to see more of this guycandy X2 in Hollywood, they failed to earn a golden ticket (rightfully so based on their musical abilities . . . or lack thereof). In case you missed the pic of them in my first post which mentioned them, here it is again:
(And while we are talking about the twins, I should mention that I have been informed by a couple of our readers that the guys actually played baseball at the University of NORTH Carolina, not USC as previously stated.) And just for the hell of it, here is another pic of the delicious duo:
Derrick and I are excited to see what the Hollywood rounds hold in store next week and beyond, and we are thrilled that contestants are able to play musical instruments this year . . . that should be very interesting. We'll be back with more AI musings then. ~Warren
