Amy Jo Johnson has always proven to be the epitome of strength. Whether it was shifting her career from gymnastics to acting after years of toiling, following a severe injury, or taking her mother’s death bravely, the actress proves that nothing is big enough to break down a strong spirit.

The actress, who got her dream role on the show ‘Felicity’, at a time when she was going through the toughest phase of her life, speaks about life after her mother’s death. Amy says that her mother was her best friend all through her life, which made it very difficult for Amy to come to terms with her cancer.
She shares her experience with depression, which she had when she was in seventh grade. Her mother helped her to go through the turmoil by teaching her how to count her blessings in life, which is something that she still does to stay happy. Amy goes on to talk about how she can feel her mother’s spirit with her in all that she does, looking after her and making her dreams come true.
Most of her journal entries are letters to her mother, in which she shares her deepest thoughts, and tells her mother about all that’s going on in her life. But that’s not where it ends. Amy even writes songs to express her feelings for her mom, and finds it therapeutic to sing them and play the guitar, which helps her to connect with her mother in her own special way.
Here’s hoping that the actress’ newfound faith never fades and she keeps finding joy in her memories with her mother. If you’re a diehard fan of this beautiful actress, you can watch her on your favorite Flashpoint episodes right here.
