Amy Poehler's TV Show Is A Go

And though it still doesn't have a title, we can tell you what it's about.

According to E! Online, Poehler plays Leslie Knope, a bureaucrat in the Parks and Recreation Department of small-town Pawnee, Indiana who ultimately aspires to be the President of the nited States. Knope takes on an exciting new project to get ahead at work: converting a forgotten construction pit into a community park. Her partner in service is local nurse Ann Logan (played by Rashida Jones) who must help Leslie overcome the bureaucrats, neighbors and real estate developers who stand in their way.

Some other colorful characters are Tom Haverford (Aziz Ansari), a colleague more interested in personal gain than community service, and April (Aubrey Plaza), an intern who couldn't be less interested in anything. And let us not forget her boss Ron Swanson, who is an anarchist.

Show created Greg Daniels said:
"If the setting is very ordinary, the characters can shine against that. I'm interested in doing character comedy. We're keeping the background really plain so the humor of the actors is set off nicely."And for those of you hoping that Poehler's husband Will Arnett would turn up on the show, here's what he had to say about it:
"I will not do a guest spot on their show until they get a title. I will not do an untitled show! Sorry, that's just me, but you know, get a title, OK? Get a title! Disgusting."
