Amy Winehouse Heads Back to London and Back to Blake

Winehouse looking like a total mess last fall. Amy Winehouse's estranged husband Blake Fielder-Civil was released from jail yesterday, but Winehouse apparently had no idea. You may recall that she's still vacationing in St. Lucia (where she's been since December), making a physical and emotional recovery from her out-of-control drug usage and faltering career.

When the news of Blake's freedom did finally reach the singer, the Sun reports that she pledged to fly home and patch things up with him. An anonymous friend said:
Hearing Blake was out brought lots of emotions back for Amy. She feels like she was the last to know he was getting released and that hurt. She is desperate to see him again and wants to work things out. She still loves him.

We are nervous about her returning to London and seeing Blake. She thinks their fights and problems are romantic in a tortured love kind of way. We think it’s a bit sad — and very dangerous. "Our whole marriage was based on doing drugs." She still loves him? Let me refer back to last month, when Winehouse said that she had completely forgotten she and Blake were even married. She said: "Our whole marriage was based on doing drugs. [Blake was] rubbish in bed. Almost every time I slept with him it was like I was dead." Sounds like a rather sudden change of heart.

The reason Fielder-Civil went to jail in the first place had to do with assault, trial-fixing and failing a drug test in December. He filed for divorce from Winehouse last month after seeing pictures of her in St. Lucia canoodling with a handsome rugby player. Now, he's slated to embark on a drug rehab program (again). Reporters asked him yesterday about his divorce plans, and he replied:
It’s all going ahead — but I don’t really know what will happen. It’s just nice to be on the outside again. Now I am going to get over my drug habit. Let's hope he does. Amy's been doing a great job on the sunny island, trying to put her crack and heroin addiction behind her. If Blake follows suit, there may be hope for this troubled couple. The friend added, "If he can really quit drugs and they can have a clean, healthy relationship then we’d have to wish them luck."
