LONDON — Amy Winehouse has been charged with assault following an incident over the weekend at the U.K.'s Milton Keynes Theater, the Associated Press reports.
The 26-year-old singer was arrested Wednesday after turning herself in at a police station. She was charged with a public order offense and common assault.
Winehouse has since been released on bail. A court hearing on the matter has been scheduled for Jan. 20.
