Anderson Cooper: Girlfriend? Boyfriend?

Anderson Cooper (Getty Images)Does CNN anchor Anderson Cooper have a girlfriend? The short answer is that we can't know for sure, because he's repeatedly refused to comment about his personal life.

In fact, since Cooper has never been married or carried on a public relationship with anyone, his love life and sexuality have often been speculated about in the media. Out magazine ranked him second on their list of the "Most Powerful Gay Men DON'T MISS

and Women in America," even though he's never responded to rumors that he's gay.

Still, that hasn't stopped entertainment reporters from trying. Cooper has been linked to Benjamin Maisani, the owner of a gay bar in New York. Gawker reports that he's a "nice guy" who loves to work out, and who started dating Cooper in late 2008.

As we mentioned before, however, it's unlikely that reports about Maisani or Cooper's hypothetical girlfriend would ever be verified, since he's so private about his personal life. Guess we'll all just have to keep guessing, whilst admiring those icy blue eyes.
