This week, nearly everyone is reminiscing about their experiences with Michael Jackson (I too have a story: when I was four my family saw him in concert, and one of his people asked if I would like to go onstage for "We Are the World" - my mother refused to let me go).

Anderson Cooper has a bizarre story of his own. Apparently he hit NYC hotspot Studio 54 with Michael Jackson when he was 10 years old. He didn't really know who he was, but he was able to recognize that he was a good dancer:


Interesting. Cooper's mom, actress and fashion designer Gloria Vanderbilt, was a lot more permissive than my mother was, apparently.
