Her parents divorced when she was 6, and Andie worked minimum-wage jobs at McDonald’s and Pizza Hut in her teens to bring extra money into the home. After graduating from high school, she enrolled at Winthrop College, but dropped out in 1978, and moved to New York City to pursue a career in modeling.
