
Hey Big Boi, Andre 3000, do you guys have more Outkast albums dropping soon? Common question for the two living legends and fans sure trust the answer is “Yes”, this is for sure. The platinum-selling hip-hop band were dropping little lyrics of gold all over the place, but antsy fans don’t have the patience to wait for one more decade or so. They are in the ranks as one of the Greatest Artists ever to grace a microphone by multiple places, publications and rankings. Not bad from some guys with such a modest origin.
Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik –the first of the Outkast discography but certainly not the last. When Southernplaylstic dropped, it was literally an overnight success and with this piece of work, the duo was awarded the respectable Best New Artist from Source Magazine around 1994. They then went on to release ATLiens later on, which is now known as one of the greatest hip-hop albums out of them all. While experimentation seemed to be explored slightly on ATLiens, when it came to Aquemini, the group definitely took a turn for the other side and switched up what earlier fans were used to. This is where they truly began to shine as this superstars they would gradually become years later. But because of this diversion from the street sounds, it seemed as if they started getting out of touch with some of those fans more in love with their gritty, street lyrcis. Andre 3000 was sure to address this directly on his song “Return on the G(angsta)”. Aquemini is personally my favorite of Outkast albums, but yeah, that’s just meet, my preference. Their next release was the album Stankonia, which gained an almost cult following because it was so completely different than even their last three albums. Songs such as B.O.B as well as Ms. Jackson have been marked as some of the greatest singles of all time by Rolling Stones Magazine. By now, it was becoming distinct that Outkast Singles, Outkast Collections, and Outkast New music were here to stay, but it really was in Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, where Big Boi and Andre 3000 would top a bar only few have gotten to. World-wide, the album achieved platinum status in record sales, making it not only one of the greatest selling hip hop albums but actually ranked on the list of highest selling albums every, mainly because of the massive crossover and styles pulled from
In the beginning of 2010, it rumors began to surface that the two would be reuniting and completing a new long-awaited Ouktast cd. Sir Luscius Left Foot Son of Chico Dusty, was released by Big Boi in 2011 as the a solo album. During 2011-2012, Andre 3000 has been featured with multiple artists ranging from Beyonce to Kesha, Drake, to Young Jeezy. According to his party, he is wrapping up his album as well.
