Andre Leon Talley is the newest judge on Tyra Banks' long-running reality series
America's Next Top Model - and it was a decision years in the making.
Banks had originally approached Talley, a friend since her first days in the modeling industry, about being part of the show before it even debuted. Talley told
WWD, "At that point, I said no because it was the beginning. I was thinking I wanted to see where it goes."
Now, with the show in its 14th cycle, Talley seems proud to be associated with Ty-overs and smizes. "I just felt that it was a way to step out of the box and associate myself with a very important American success story, a very important brand — Tyra Banks."

Anna Wintour reacted to ALT's aspirations of reality TV glory will be pleased (or disappointed) to hear that she really didn't mind at all.
“Her reaction,” said Talley, “was, ‘Fine, André. Just let me know when you’re going to do it and how it’s going.’
