Former junior world downhill champion Andreas Buder of Austria has ended his career because of a persistent knee injury.
The 31-year-old skier told the Austria Presse Agency on Tuesday his right knee has become too weak after eight operations.
Buder won the junior world title in 1998. He had three top-three finishes but failed to win a World Cup race. He took the overall downhill title on the lower-ranked Europa Cup circuit in 2005.
