Indy Racing League Vice President of Public Relations John Griffin is resigning, effective Dec. 18.
IRL made the announcement in a written news release, dated this past Friday.

It appears the Indianapolis-based Indy Racing League will keep one of its high-profile drivers. Sports Illustrated is reporting on its Web site that Danica Patrick has signed a three-year contract to stay with Andretti Green Racing. The deal is expected to be officially announced at a later date, possibly during events surrounding the IRL season finale next month in Florida.
