Has Andrew Bynum Worn Out his Welcome?

Fans and owners can accept injuries to a point; Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum has had plenty of those. However, when a player shows too much disrespect to the game and fans a line is often drawn. If Bynum is not careful, he may soon find himself on the wrong side of that line.

Bynum became the youngest player to play in the NBA the first time he stepped on the court (18 years and 6 days old). While he has had moments of brilliance, they have been overshadowed by the injuries that have kept from playing more than 70 games in five of his six season and overall lackluster play.

Living up to the hype he came in with would have been difficult for any player, but many of his actions off the court make him an easy target. For example, like when in 2010 he put off having surgery on his knee so that he could go on vacation in Europe and watch the World Cup in South Africa.

A recent move will not help his image at all. Reporters caught Bynum taking up two handicapped spaces at a local grocery store (he does not have a handicapped placard). When confronted about it, he got angry and sped away.

Failed potential, poor decisions, and a bad attitude; if Bynum is not careful, he may find Los Angeles does not want him anymore.
