SPOTTED: Andrew Shue in NYC, Melrose Place Original Cast Member & All Around Sexy Guy

Yesterday I wrote about the CW’s revival of Melrose Place so it’s funny that Andrew Shue, from the original cast, would be spotted in NYC. He is at Houston’s on Park Avenue Southright now having drinks with a female companion.

Andrew and I used to work in the same building on 7th Avenue. It was well after his Melrose fame had fizzled, but that didn’t stop the ladies in the building from gawking every time he got in the elevator. My first encounter with him was on my first day back at work after a trip to Mexico for the millennium. I arrived at work late and disheveled and bumped into Andrew getting into the elevator. I said hello and he reciprocated, very friendly and pleasant. He looked like his Mom dressed him and picked out this perfectly preppy outfit and paired it with a professional brown, leather briefcase. He almost seemed excited going to an office after years on a film set. I wish I had that type of excitement. He was gracious and always said hello in passing. He started a company called giftcertificates.com during the internet boom and I saw him often until the company eventually folded. I wonder if he’ll make a cameo on the new series. Lord knows that man has aged well and could probably use the work.
