The Golden State Warriors used the last of their cap space — $1.07 million — to sign former Jazz center Kyrylo Fesenko to a one-year contract.
The 7-foot-1, 280-pound Ukrainian center appeared in 53 games (one start) for Utah last season — averaging two points and two rebounds in 8.6 minutes per contest.
The 25-year old Fesenko has played all four of his NBA campaigns in Utah.
Fesenko is expected to compete with Kwame Brown for playing time behind starting center Andris Biedrins.

Every once in awhile we hear die hard sports fans making sport analogies crossing over multiple sports, somehow attempting to link a touchdown comparatively to a grand slam, or a no-hitter to a perfect score in bowling. You know what I am talking about, right? The point is, these stretch-of-the-imagination comparisons of sports apples and oranges rarely achieve a common ground that is truly tangible for any sensible reason, other than some random chit chat over a few drinks at the local sports...Read Full Story
Interior Defensive Presence Near?
Houston Chronicle’s Richard Justice via Twitter:
Rockets came close to trading for Golden State C Andris Biedrins last night and will continue discussions in the days ahead.
GM Daryl Morey knows the team still lacks a true center, a legitimate defender of the basket. It’s good to know the pursuit of Biedrins will continue.

Maybe it is the new uniforms, or the new ownership, or heck, even the new coach Keith Smart? In fact, there are so many ways to...Read Full Story

I believe with Bogut taking control of the center position, this takes a big amount of pressure off of Biedrins. He just didn't have it in him anymore to play like how he used to back in 2007-2008, however, being a backup to Bogut could change that; it could be the perfect situation for Biedrins...
