Andy House, Texas Man, Accidentally Drives 2006 Bugatti Veyron Into Salt Marsh

Poor, poor Andy House. The guy bought a $2 million prize car, only for it to end up drowning in a lagoon. House, a native of Lufkin, Texas, accidentally drove his Bugatti Veyron EB -- the most expensive car on the market, famed for its impressive speed -- into a salt water marsh because, according to USAToday.com, he was busy checking out "a low-flying pelican."

Apparently his front tire ran off the road, and House was unable to avoid moving into the marsh. From the looks of the photos taken (see left) the Bugatti does not float, nor is it waterproof. Still, Wired.com is optimistic about the vehicle's future since there's no body damage, but the sky-high costs of Bugatti maintenance in general proves fixing it would cause a huge dent in House's bank account. Leather seats don't take so well to salt water.

In initial reports, House's name wasn't revealed (oh, the shame). But police ID'd him, and it turns out he owns a company that restores luxury cars. How handy! Celebs including Arnold Schwarzenegger have been calling him nonstop.
