Houston Atsros owner, Drayton McLane stated that they are set to go into the season without him, and that they don’t plan on entering negotiations. So what does this mean for Andy? Now that Andy has rejected the Yankees $10M offer, he is thinking about whether or not he has other options . The Astros can certainly be one of them because his family is in Texas. It seems as though Andy Pettitte's press conference today has stirred up a lot of emotion, and in reading some of the comments across the internet today it seems like most of the emotion is, not only negative, but aimed at Andy Pettitte. According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post , the New York Yankees have re-signed LHP Andy Pettitte to a one-year, $11.75 million contract. The $11.75 million for one-year is a nice increase in base salary for Pettitte. If you remember, Pettitte signed an incentive laden deal last winter with a base of $5.5 million.
