R.I.P. Andy Rooney, America's Favorite Curmudgeon
Surly, cranky or just plain ol' grumpy - this is usually the general response to the name Andy Rooney. However, I just so happen to love Rooney and the bitter humor he brought to my life at the end of every 60 minutes episode. He seemed like he could have been one of my old uncles who never like going to family parties, sat in the corner the whole time and would leave shortly after dinner was served- you know the type. He was a CBS News mainstay with bushy eyebrows and a knack for critiques who will be missed- as it was reported Friday evening that he has recently passed in NYC at 92 years old.
CBS News said in a statement that Mr. Rooney died after complications following minor surgery. Check him out in action below!
