Mets likely to keep Angel Pagan and his salary........

By Dominick DiFucci on  From metschronicle.com
The Mets signaled for the first part of the offseason that Angel Pagan likely was out, and that the organization was looking to go in a different direction in center field. More recently, they have signaled that Pagan will not be non-tendered at the Dec. 12 deadline, meaning he would remain and get a raise from the $3.5 million he made in 2011. One logical reason for the turnaround was evident Wednesday. David DeJesus, a credible alternative, signed a deal with the Cubs that guaranteed him...Read Full Story

Angel Pagan will be back Wednesday, test came back ok..

By Dominick DiFucci on  From metschronicle.com
According to Adam Rubin of ESPNNY.com, Angel Pagan said blood tests performed Monday found no abnormality that would account for the dizziness and fatigue that forced him from Sunday's game and recently had troubled him. Pagan assigned the fault to dehydration. Terry Collins expected Pagan would return to the lineup Wednesday. Jason Pridie is starting a second straight game in center field Tuesday. "I'm ready to go out there and start working out with the team," Pagan said. "I'm not in the...Read Full Story

Angel Pagan on the comeback trail from DL

By Dominick DiFucci on  From metschronicle.com
Angel Pagan is nearing a return from the disabled list, but Terry Collins said he's unsure whether the center fielder will be activated after two more games with Class A St. Lucie. The alternative appears to be having Pagan make an intermediate stop with Triple-A Buffalo to face higher-caliber pitching. Since resuming a rehab assignment, Pagan has played two games with St. Lucie, going 1-for-8 with a homer and a walk. He played seven innings in center field Wednesday, then served as DH in a...Read Full Story

Angel Pagan Lacks Baseball Knowledge Again

By ballhyped on  From ballhyped.com
I think I have seen enough of Angel Pagan as the Mets starting Center Fielder. Starting next season he either needs to be on the bench or on another roster. He has shown countless times that he is just not a high level starting player in this league. Yes he was awesome in the second [...]Angel Pagan Lacks Baseball Knowledge Again is a post from the BallHyped Sports Blog Network. View and VoteRead Full Story

The Future of Angel Pagan
Trading for Angel Pagan made sense at the time. Once you got over the shock that you had another man's face tattooed on your ass, and that man now played for the Mets, you could see the logic in trading some defense for a younger version of Andres Torres. One of the unspoken benefits of the trade is that it cleared the way for Gary Brown. There was going to be this uncomfortable moment in 2013 when you realized that Gary Brown was...

UPDATE: Angel Pagan out sick, staying the course with
Pablo Sandoval still leads the team with five and he hasn’t played since May 2. Naturally, a lot of folks believe they have the answer. “Sabean needs to go out and get a bat.” Good idea. Maybe he can pop into the WalMart and find one.
