Angelina Jolie has repaired her rocky relationship with her father, actor
Jon Voight. Voight, who's been vocal in the past about wanting his daughter back in his life, confirmed the happy news to
Us Weekly in the magazine's latest issue.

The 70-year-old said, "We're in touch, but not regularly. We love each other and that's the most important thing."
The father-daughter falling out happened back in 2002, when Voight told
Access Hollywood that Jolie had "serious mental problems" she needed help for. Angie didn't appreciate the
Michael Lohan approach and announced later that she didn't want any more association with her dad, saying, "My father and I don't speak. I don't hold any anger toward him. I don't believe that somebody's family becomes their blood. Because my son's adopted, and families are earned."
She didn't elaborate on the reasons for the rift. But in February of this year, Voight and Jolie met "face to face" for the first time in years. A source told
Us, "Angie made the initial contact.
Brad [Pitt] has been supportive -- a key factor in her reaching out."
