One year, countless hours of work, one new computer, and several video converting programs later, Sound Off Reviews is proud to bring you a Retro Review of one of gaming's greatest classics: Myst (PC). Good to be back, Youtube. Post-release notes: *important!*- Since this audio review was made, another port of Myst (and Riven, believe it or not) has been released. This port is on GoodOldGames (gog.com). I haven't tried it, but I can imagine a lot of compatibility issues are fixed and it may even work on 64-bit OSes. - I sound really nasally in a few clips in this due to Fall Allergies (that's right, FALL. Took me a long while to actually get this done). - I did not have the foresight to check whether or not the Myst versions I recommended are compatible with Windows Vista or Windows 7. RealMyst, sadly, does NOT work on Vista or Win7, but apparently Myst Masterpiece Edition (the edition packed in with the DVD) does, with a little bit of struggling. - Ignore the green line whenever it pops up in that one video clip, nothing I could do about that and it's not frequent enough to be a pain.
